Julie-Ann Aguhob also known as "Joy and Joy-joy" to family and relatives, was born and raised in the Philippines. She grew up with a family that enjoyed harmonizing together in singing hymns and sacred music. Having sung at churches throughout her life, she learned and performs an extensive repertoire including: Cantatas, Oratorios, Sacred Music, Hymns, Gospel Songs, and Christian Contemporary Music. Julie-Ann also enjoys performing the works of Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Rodgers and Hart, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Leonard Bernstein, and other musical theatre classics.
Julie-Ann holds a Master of Music in Voice Performance from Boston University and a Bachelor of Music Performance from University of Missouri- St. Louis. Her premier CD recording "Simple Song" with collaborator Peter Vantine was released on November 20, 2004. The motivation for this work came from the audience enthusiastic response to the songs performed by Julie-Ann at the 2003 One Foundation Anniversary Concert. Julie-Ann presently lives in Lexington, KY and is an Aflac Independent Agent as well as a Standardized Patient at University of Kentucky College of Medicine, and a Microsoft Office Specialist providing personalized computer training and seasonal office support. As a performer, she recently made her debut performance with Actors Guild of Lexington in their production of "Beguiled Again: The Songs of Rodgers and Hart", September 12 - October 4, 2009. Julie-Ann also appearred as Mattie in “All Aboard for Murder” with Bluegrass Mystery Theatre, September 12-13, 2009 at the Bluegrass Railroad Museum. She recently received critical acclaim for her debut performance in the 2009 Grand Night for Singing production as a Soloist and her debut performance as Mama Euralie in KCTC & Summerfest 2009 production of “Once on this Island”. Other theatre credits: Luisa - The Fantastiks, Tuptim - King & I, Ensemble/Chorus work in Baby, Nine, Sunday in the Park with George.

Joy was seen in the 2001 production of "The King & I" at the Palace Theater in Manchester, New Hampshire
She sang with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus under the direction of maestros Seiji Ozawa, Bernard Haitink, John Oliver, and Keith Lockhart during the 2001-2002 season of the Boston Symphony Orchestra
She was a featured artist numerous times in "Asian Focus" a local television program in Boston that airs Sunday mornings and talks about public affairs, current events, musicians, artists, news makers in the Asian American community
Joy was a soloist at the 2003 performance of "Christmas in Lexington" and Vivaldi's "Gloria" at Grace Chapel in Lexington, Massachusetts
She was also a featured artist in "Awakening the Heart" concert in May 2004 as well as several annual concerts of "One Foundation."
